Birth: 1946 Death: 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Allen, a beloved and devoted mother, friend, and cherished member of the community. She passed away peacefully on August 27.Born in Watsonville on October 7, 1946, Carolyn graduated from Watsonville High School and later attended Cabrillo College.

It was there that she met her future husband, Hank Allen. They married in 1968 and soon settled in Aptos, where they raised their four children.Carolyn was a dedicated mother who made her family her top priority.



She always made time to attend her children’s sporting events, 4H events, Scout activities, and Home & School Club functions. Her support and involvement in their lives were constant and unwavering.Carolyn found her calling in the home health care industry, where she dedicated herself to providing compassionate care for others.

Her passion for helping those in need led her and Hank to open their own agency, Quality Home Care, where they made a lasting impact on the lives of many in their community. Known for her warm hugs and open-door hospitality, Carolyn welcomed friends and family into her home with open arms. Her house was a place where anyone could stop by for a cup of coffee and a good conversation.

Her generosity and kindness were felt by all who knew her.An avid quilter, Carolyn created beautiful works of art that will forever be treasured as reminders of her creativity and patience. Her passion for quilting was matched only by her love for Wednesday nights, which for almost 20 years, she spent with dear friends playing lively games of dominoes.

These weekly gatherings were filled with laughter, fierce competition, and the joy of winning a $10 jackpot, and they were a testament to the close-knit bonds she formed throughout her life.Carolyn was the glue that kept her adult children connected and was the hub for all family occasions. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and togetherness will live on through her sons Todd (Lisa), Hank (Donalyn), and Brent (Laura), and her daughter Melissa.

Carolyn also leaves behind seven grandchildren, whom she adored, as well as her brother Robert (Julie) and sister Judy. She was predeceased by her sister (Janet) and her beloved husband Hank in 2004.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12 at the First United Methodist Church at 229 Stanford Street in Watsonville; viewing 10am – 10:45am and funeral at 11am.

A graveside service will be held at noon at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Rd in Watsonville followed by a funeral reception at the Pajaro Valley Golf Club located at 967 Salinas Road in Royal Oaks beginning at 1:15pm. Rest in peace, Carolyn. Your love, warmth, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
