Her workshops teach the art of terrarium making and provide a calming and therapeutic environment, offering an "experience for all". "Taking time to make something with our hands is incredibly therapeutic," she said. "During my time as a social worker, I learned about the concept called flow.



When you get into a creative zone, your mind moves into a relaxed state which is similar to meditation. "This state is beneficial to maintaining good mental health and helps to relieve stress. "I believe the more we engage our creative sides, connect with nature, and take time out of our busy lives to have some fun, the better.

" She said it was important to connect and there's no better way than a creative afternoon with your friends. "The interesting part is my workshops aren't just for women, but men too," she said. Since 2022, Ms Edwards has been renting a space for her workshops.

However, in a couple of weeks, she will open her first studio on Mate Street. "I'm very excited," she said. Her workshops cover all the terrarium basics, including the art of landscaping, mosses, and after-care details.

"I also add in crystals, which make them look pretty," she said. "It's hard to believe I'm doing what I love. "But the plan is to eventually add a few other and collaborate with other businesses to run their workshops too.

" She said the feedback for the events had been great. "A lot of people these days don't have the luxury of outdoor gardens or large indoor spaces," she said. "We also tend to be low on time.

I have found that terrariums and kokedamas [moss balls] to get more greenery and life in their indoor spaces. "Plus, I love that each plant, moss, and crystal is uniquely different and no handcrafted design is ever the same." After completing a 12-week business course and selling gardens at some markets, she knew that her idea would take off in the region, given that nothing quite like it existed anywhere else.

"I've always been creative, and after getting into making them, the house was overrun with them," she said. Bookings are $125 per person and include nibbles and a drink and can be booked at littlegreenword.com.
