Wednesday, August 21, 2024 Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled its 2026/2027 deployment plans, kicking off with the announcement of summer 2026 sailings to some of the most coveted destinations in Europe and Alaska. Notably, Carnival will offer a unique solar eclipse cruise for the first time. Reservations for these exciting summer 2026 European and Alaskan voyages are now open.

Explore Europe and Witness a Solar Eclipse Aboard Carnival Legend For the first time ever, Carnival introduces a special 11-day Carnival Journeys Eclipse cruise aboard Carnival Legend, featuring stops in Spain, Portugal, and France. Departing from Dover, England, on August 9, 2026, guests will have the opportunity to witness a total solar eclipse at sea on August 12, 2026, providing a once-in-a-lifetime viewing experience. This extraordinary voyage includes port visits to Le Havre (Paris), France; St.



Peter Port, Guernsey; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon and Leixões (Porto), Portugal; Le Verdon (Bordeaux), France; and Zeebrugge (Brussels), Belgium. “The chance to see a total solar eclipse while having fun exploring the cultural richness of Spain, Portugal and France aboard Carnival Legend, is a truly special opportunity – among a lineup of many phenomenal cruises,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line . “And as the popularity of Carnival Legend’s 2024 Europe sailings prove, it’s never too soon for our loyal guests to start planning their next summer vacation.

” Carnival Legend’s summer 2026 European season kicks off with a 14-day transatlantic journey departing Miami on May 24, 2026. The voyage will visit Liverpool, England; Holyhead, Wales; and Dun Laoghaire (Dublin), Ireland before arriving in Dover (London), England. While based in Europe, Carnival Legend will operate nine cruises from Dover, with itineraries ranging from 9 to 12 days, and six cruises from Civitavecchia (Rome) with similar durations.

Sailings from Dover will explore Northern Europe, including destinations such as Copenhagen and Amsterdam, as well as the British Isles, with stops across Ireland, England, and Scotland, and a special itinerary featuring four ports in Iceland. Cruises through Scandinavia and the Baltics will visit Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium, while Western Europe itineraries will include ports in Portugal, Spain, and France. From Civitavecchia, nine-day and 12-day voyages will take guests to popular destinations in Italy, the Greek Isles, Turkey, and Croatia.

Ports of call will include Istanbul and Kusadasi (Ephesus) in Turkey; Piraeus (Athens) and Mykonos in Greece; and Naples (Amalfi/Pompeii), Italy; Split and Dubrovnik, Croatia. The ship’s final European voyage in 2026 will be a 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise departing on November 1, 2026, from Civitavecchia to Tampa, Florida, with stops in Cartagena and Malaga, Spain; Gibraltar; and Bermuda. Alaska Adventures from Seattle Aboard Carnival Spirit and Carnival Miracle Carnival Miracle is set to join Carnival Spirit in offering sailings from Seattle to Alaska during summer 2026.

The itineraries currently available are exclusively for departures from Seattle. Carnival will also offer Alaska sailings from San Francisco in 2026, with those itineraries becoming available later this fall. Carnival Miracle’s seven-day Alaska cruises will depart every Thursday starting on May 7, 2026, exploring Tracy Arm Fjord and visiting Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan in Alaska, as well as Victoria, British Columbia.

Two special Carnival Journeys sailings aboard Carnival Miracle will also be available. A nine-day cruise provides extra time to explore the region’s Inside Passage, including an additional stop in Sitka, Alaska, while a 10-day itinerary adds Icy Strait Point to the journey. Carnival Spirit’s Alaska sailings will also cruise Tracy Arm Fjord and visit Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, with departures beginning on April 28, 2026, and running through September 15, 2026.

Following its return to Seattle on September 23, 2026, Carnival Spirit will embark on a 15-day round-trip Carnival Journeys cruise to Hawaii, stopping in Honolulu, Oahu; Nawiliwili, Kauai; Kahului, Maui; and Hilo, Hawaii; as well as a visit to Victoria, British Columbia. Additionally, four new Carnival Journeys cruises will transit the Panama Canal, repositioning Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit before and after the Alaskan summer season. These cruises will include stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; and Cartagena, Colombia.

Carnival Spirit’s 16-day Carnival Journeys cruise will take the ship from its homeport in Mobile, Alabama, to Seattle on April 12, 2026, and back to Mobile on October 8, 2026. These are the first Carnival cruises to connect the cities of Seattle and Mobile. Carnival Miracle will reposition from Tampa, Florida, on April 11, 2026, and depart Seattle on September 26, 2026, for a 16-day Carnival Journeys Panama Canal cruise, ending in Galveston, Texas.
