Saturday, August 31, 2024 Carnival Cruise Line expands in Australia as Carnival Splendor returns to Sydney with new upgrades, joined by Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter. Carnival Splendor is set to return to Sydney with a range of exciting new enhancements following its dry dock in Singapore. The ship, scheduled to arrive at Sydney Harbor on September 9, now features updated dining options, refurbished staterooms and amenities, and the signature red, white, and blue hull design that has become synonymous with Carnival’s fleet.

A notable addition to the hull design is the Southern Cross motif, a signature element of P&O Cruises Australia ships that will soon become part of the Carnival fleet. Among the new dining options on Carnival Splendor is Mad Sizzle, located on Deck 9, offering a selection of kebabs and satays with slow-roasted meats. Due to its popularity, the Indian restaurant Masala Tiger has been relocated to a larger space on Deck 10.

This expanded venue will now serve an à la carte dinner menu in addition to its well-loved lunch offerings. Other dining venues have also received menu enhancements, such as the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, which now includes signature dishes like T-bone steak and fresh New Zealand pink snapper. The staterooms have been given a fresh look, with balcony areas undergoing complete refurbishments and new whirlpool tubs installed in the suites.

Fitness enthusiasts will be pleased with the updated basketball court, jogging track, and new gym equipment, as well as a refreshed Thalasso therapy pool at the Cloud 9 Spa. The ship’s casino has also been upgraded, retail shops have been revamped, and the newly enhanced Dreams Photo Studio has been relocated to Deck 3 in the Atrium. For younger guests and the young at heart, a fully revamped mini-golf course and the newly updated Carnival WaterWorks waterpark offer family-friendly fun.

The waterpark features thrilling waterslides and the Splashy Cove children’s play area, providing the ultimate aquatic adventure. Additionally, the kids’ clubs, Camp Ocean and Club O2, now include new video gaming areas, adding even more excitement. Carnival Splendor also boasts the latest addition to its entertainment lineup: “Dear Future Husband,” a pop musical that premiered in Australia this year after debuting on Carnival Jubilee.

This interactive show follows the journey of a bride and groom as they embark on a wedding adventure aboard a Carnival cruise ship with their best friends, adding a new dimension to the guest entertainment experience. “From her beautiful new look outside to the upgraded amenities and new entertainment on board, Carnival Splendor has more fun to offer our guests sailing from Sydney than ever before,” said Kara Glamore , Carnival Cruise Line Australia vice president. “Carnival is set to be Australia’s largest cruise brand from early next year and we’re proud to continue to provide new ways to bring more fun to our guests.

” Starting in March 2025, Carnival Splendor and Carnival Luminosa, which operates seasonally from Brisbane with its next season kicking off in October, will be joined by two more sister ships in Australia as P&O Cruises Australia integrates into Carnival Cruise Line. The ships Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will be rebranded as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, respectively, becoming part of the Carnival fleet..
