Gameloft and HarperCollins Productions have released the trailer for “Carmen Sandiego,” a reimagining of the iconic 1980s edutainment video game series “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”. Created by American software company Broderbund, the first title released in 1985 and had you playing an agent of the ACME Detective Agency trying to bring down the criminal organization V.I.

L.E. and its leader Carmen Sandiego.

The overall aim of the game was to teach children geography with further games in the series dealing with history, mathematics, and language. The franchise spawned multiple TV series, a play, a musical, and even an annual school event. The new game is a single player puzzle adventure title which resembles the look of the recent Netflix animated series but is more inspired by the games.

However, this time you will play as Carmen herself. Along with the single player campaign mode will be a classic mode called The Acme Files which is said to be “a heartfelt tribute” to the 80s games. The “Carmen Sandiego” game will launch on Netflix in the first quarter of 2025.

It will hit PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch at the same time..
