The double gold win of Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics brought so much pride and honor to the country. Several rewards were extended to the first-ever Olympic double gold medalist of the country.
At least Php 33 million cash rewards were given to Caloy. Megaworld also gave Carlos Yulo a 3-bedroom condo unit . It is apart from the house and lot in Tagaytay that was given to him.
Toyota also gave Carlos Yulo his own Land Cruiser Prado . However, amid the success of Caloy, his personal problems with his mother was unveiled to the public. It is no secret to the public now that Caloy and his mother, Angelica Yulo, have a rift due to a previous money issue pertaining to the spending of his incentives.
He claimed that his money was used without his consent while she defended that she used for investments for him. Carlos Yulo also claimed that his mother is against his girlfriend , Chloe San Jose. Angelica Yulo has apologized to her son over the issues between them but she was mum if she can accept Chloe.
Recently, Carlos Yulo’s mother flexed the luxurious gifts she received from her other children, Elaiza Yulo and Karl Eldrew Yulo. Her children are also gymnasts and she’s vocal that her family is her support amid the issue and bashing to her. Angelica was left speechless when Elaiza gave her a Guess bag saying that if she will give her cash, she will not buy something for herself.
In another post, Carlos Yulo’s mother also shared the pair of Nike shoes that her other son, Karl Eldrew, gave her. He is also a gymnast and the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) is honing him for the 2028 Olympics. Carlos Yulo previously said he has forgiven his mother .
