Tuesday, January 21, 2025 The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has announced its 2025 theme, “Caribbean Resilience: Crafting Tomorrow’s Tourism.” This theme highlights the region’s dedication to leveraging its strengths, tackling challenges, and shaping a tourism sector that thrives amidst global changes. CTO Chairman Ian Gooding-Edghill, Barbados ’ Minister of Tourism and International Transport, emphasized the transformative potential of the theme: “‘Caribbean Resilience: Crafting Tomorrow’s Tourism’ challenges us to think innovatively and act collaboratively.

It is a rallying call to strengthen partnerships, invest in our people, and prioritize sustainability while harnessing technology and innovation to redefine how the Caribbean engages with global travelers. We must commit to building a tourism sector that not only meets today’s demands but also anticipates tomorrow’s opportunities.” This initiative calls upon governments, tourism authorities, the private sector, and communities to collaborate on key issues like climate resilience, digital advances, workforce enhancement, and expanding tourism offerings.



It coincides with the CTO Reimagine initiative, emphasizing a commitment to sustainable tourism that conserves the Caribbean’s environmental and cultural assets for upcoming generations. Renowned for its rich cultural diversity, stunning scenery, and warm hospitality, the Caribbean has continually shown its ability to withstand adversities .
