The A14 was closed in both directions following a vehicle fire. Emergency services were called to the blaze in a layby off the westbound carriageway near Nacton at about 10.50am on Friday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said both carriageways were closed. Smoke was seen billowing across the A14. There were long delays in the area.
