Our local environment is filled with many and varied beautiful birds. A workshop being offered by Greenways Land Trust will develop your skills in recognizing which birds are which and how to capture them with your capture. Birding enthusiasts and aspiring photographers are invited to Oyster Bay Shoreline Park on Wednesday, Aug.

21 for a rare opportunity to combine birdwatching with photography in one of Vancouver Island's prime locations for shorebird sightings during the fall migration. Led by the knowledgeable and engaging birding experts Dr. Ray Allan and Kyle Fitzpatrick, and joined by photographer Mikey Parsons, the workshop will cover bird identification, photography techniques, and the ethics of nature photography.



Participants will also gain insights into bird ecology and the importance of preserving natural habitats. The fee for the workshop is $60 ($50 for Greenways ' members) and dvanced registration is required. Attendance is limited to 15 participants.
