Four months after losing his legs in a traumatic accident, a man on the Hibiscus Coast is stuck in a limbo of frustration in North Shore Hospital, unable to return to his lifestyle block because it is highly unsuitable for his new wheelchair. Specialists have approved his discharge, but despite the best efforts of family, friends and health agencies, a wheelchair-friendly home remains elusive. The 57 year-old is looking for a long-term solution, preferably in Ōrewa.
