During pregnancy, doctors use ultrasound to determine the baby's gender, but in India, it is illegal to disclose this information before birth. Despite this restriction, various old wives' tales and myths about predicting the baby's gender based on the shape of the mother's belly persist.

Some believe that a rounded belly suggests a girl, while a more pointed belly indicates a boy. These theories, however, lack scientific evidence and should be taken with caution.
