I didn't know how to feel about it. Because the thing is if my husband did that for me, I would say, thank you, honey. That's very sweet.
On the other hand, it feels weird being essentially asked to evaluate the statue of someone else's spouse. Whatever you hope to get out of this, I hope you got out of it. That was my feeling.
casey newton My feeling is we should raise people's taxes. [COMMENTATORS LAUGH] If you're building statues of your wife, you could be funding schools. kevin roose How much do you think a statue costs? I bet you could do it for under $10,000.
casey newton Yeah, with a 3D printer? kevin roose Now, I assume he spent more than that, because I thought the statue was beautiful. It had sort of mixed, there was colors. casey newton And he said he was trying to bring back the Roman tradition of making statues of your wife.
kevin roose Which we all remember, of course. Of course. If you were a Roman and you didn't have — casey newton The wife guys in Ancient Rome were constantly just chiseling into marble.
kevin roose Yeah, today, if you're a wife guy, you post about her on a social network. In Roman times, you build a damn statue. casey newton It's true.
kevin roose Something to think about. casey newton If I made a statue of myself and gave it to you, would you put it in your house? kevin roose [LAUGHS]: No. And for this reason, you are not my wife.
