After a blistering hot start to the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense has cooled off in the last two weeks. The Bucs scraped away 20 points to beat the Lions but fell flat against the Denver Broncos in Week 3, mustering only seven points. Tampa Bay and Liam Coen certainly need more out of their run game that still has not found its feet of yet, but should step forward from its league-worst marks from a season ago.
But the essence of this offense still relies on its passing game on the weapons outside to provide points each week. Nearly a quarter through the season, the Bucs have incorporated Chris Godwin while Mike Evans has take a backseat early on. Douglas DeFelice-Imagn Images Evans found the end zone twice in Tampa Bay's season opener against the Washington Commanders, but has five receptions for 59 yards in the games since.
Godwin has doubled Evans' production in receptions and yards, accounting for a touchdown in all three games. This week, the Bucs have a key NFC matchup at Raymond James Stadium before they hit the road for two divisional contest the following weeks. They face a Philadelphia Eagles they handled in the NFC Wild Card round with minimal production from Evans and Godwin.
