A campsite near Plymouth has been named one of the best in the UK. Woodovis Park in , Devon, has been crowned Campsite of the Year in the AA Caravan and Camping Awards. The awards celebrate the UK's best campsites and caravan parks and are selected by their 'inspectors' for their outstanding overall quality and high levels of customer care.
Award inspectors particularly praised Woodovis Park's spacious pitches, indoor heated swimming pool and its use of solar panels that powers the whole park. The AA awards said: "Peacefully located in the Tamar Valley at the end of a private, half-mile, tree-lined drive, it offers superb on-site facilities and high levels of customer care from the owners. The toilets are immaculate and well maintained, plus there is an indoor swimming pool, sauna, well-stocked shop, good information and games rooms, and a campers' kitchen with pizza oven.
