MUMBAI: In a cabinet meeting on Sunday, approval was granted to expand the Chief Minister's Solar Agriculture Scheme 2.0 to provide reliable and uninterrupted daytime electricity to agricultural pumps for farmers in the state. The state government has approved a financial assistance fund of 30% for the remaining solar power generation capacity, similar to the central government's financial assistance fund.

A total of Rs. 10,041 crore will be provided for the period from 2024-25 to 2026-27, with Rs. 6,279 crore allocated for 2025-26 and Rs.



3,762 crore for 2026-27, an official said..
