Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa 2 The Rule is on course to release on December 5, 2024. Director Sukumar almost wrapped up the shooting of the rustic action entertainer except for a special song on actress Sreeleela. Meanwhile, rumours are rife that the filmmakers are considering roping in S.

Thaman for the background score. Thaman To Replace DSP? Devi Sri Prasad is the leading music composer in Tollywood. In fact, his songs in Pushpa: The Rise were such a rage that he won ‘Best Music Director’ National Award.



While he completed providing tunes for the songs in Pushpa: The Rule, buzz is that the filmmakers are reportedly planning to replace him with S Thaman for the background score. Apparently, Devi Sri Prasad delayed things in providing the background score to the director. With the deadline nearing, the filmmakers don't want to take any chances.

And to expedite work, they have roped in S Thaman. There’s no official confirmation on the subject. But if Thaman provides the background score, then both of the composers will be given due credits.

Sukumar’s First With Thaman So far, Sukumar worked in nine films including Pushpa: The Rule. In all the films he collaborated with Devi Sri Prasad for music. If reports that Thaman replaced DSP for background score turn out to be true, then it’s the first time that the director is working with a new composer in his 20-year career.
