Burger 8 opened on Seaside Lane in Easington this week (September 17) and has promised to "take over the local burger scene". The chain also operates sites in Bedlington, Birtley and Blyth - making this newest takeaway their first in County Durham. The new restaurant most recently posted a reel saying they were putting in place the "final touches" including signage at the unit which last held a beauty and tanning salon before being left vacant.
The takeaway will be open from 4pm-10pm six days a week - and will be closed on Mondays. A video posted to the takeaway's account teased its opening and encouraged locals to follow along for updates.
