Prayagraj : The information department of Uttar Pradesh has released a special 45-second video titled ‘Bula raha hai Kumbh' (Kumbh Calling) for Maha Kumbh-2025. In the video, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan reminisces about Sangam city – Allahabad – where he was born and brought up and describes the amazing glory of Kumbh Mela . Having spent his childhood days in Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj, Bachchan said, "I have a lot of memories as my entire childhood was spent here.
We used to go to Sangam – the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati – daily at 4 am to take holy dips." Narrating his experience, Bachchan said, "First, we used to apply Triveni mud on our body and then take a dip while whispering something as we didn't know the mantra. While seeing a pontoon bridge, we used to wonder how it was built and how it carries the burden of millions of people.
When we grew up, we came to understand science. Really, Kumbh is wonderful." The information department has released the video on different platforms, including social media, to invite people across the world to visit Kumbh.
