Published: August 7, 2024 5:34 PM IST By Edited by BTS band member Suga recently took to a public platform to express sincere regret over a recent incident where he operated an electric kickboard under the influence of alcohol.

The 31-year-old rapper, who is presently engaged in his civic responsibilities in South Korea, admitted to being penalised, including the revocation of his license, following his encounter with the law in this matter. BTS’ Suga’s Licence Gets Revoked Min Yoon-gi popularly known as Suga issued a public apology on the popular social media forum, Weverse. Suga wrote a descriptive apology message that read, “It is with a very heavy and apologetic heart that I have to come to you with such disappointment.

After drinking at dinner last night, I rode home on an electric kickboard. I violated road traffic laws without realising that I was not allowed to use an electric kickboard while drunk due to the simple thought that it was a short distance away.” The BTS singer further added, “While setting up my electric scooter at the front door of my house, I fell.

A police officer was nearby, and as a result of a breathalyser test, my license was revoked, and I was fined. Although no one was harmed or any facilities were damaged during this process, I bow my head in apology to everyone as it is my responsibility and there is no room for excuses.” A police officer stumbled upon the rapper on a Tuesday night in Seoul’s Yongsan district.

He was sprawled on the ground, the aftermath of a tumble from his electric scooter while under the influence, according to a report by Yonhap, a Korean news agency. He found himself held for questioning at Yongsan Police Station due to a violation of the Road Traffic Act. In the wake of the event, BigHit Music, BTS’s managing agency, stepped forward with an official public apology.

The agency penned, “We apologise for the accident involving BTS member Suga’s electric scooter...

We apologise for the disappointment this artist’s inappropriate behaviour caused many of you. We will be more careful to prevent this from happening in the future.” BTS Army Reacts To Suga’s Apology As soon as the news broke out about the 31-year-old Korean singer, his massive fan following got emotional.
