On August 21, KST, the trailer of member ’s upcoming documentary film, , was released. While the sneak peek has gotten the fan community abuzz with anticipation, many fans were also concerned. Many took an issue with the English version of the trailer where the introductory text read “ ” This phrase flashed on the screen in between Jungkook’s voice over saying he wondered if he could receive such wide-scale recognition without his group.

"With all these achievements I gained more self-confidence". — — Daily jk praise  (@dailyjkpraise) Notably, the Korean version of the trailer had a completely different text displayed during the same section. The phrasing of the text has not sit well with many fans, who felt it was a deliberate attempt to rid Jungkook of his identity as a BTS member and to project him as a solo act exclusively.

A lot of these ARMYs also expressed their suspicion that it reflected the intentions of , the CEO, who has been heavily involved in the solo career of the BTS from the get-go. this is scooter braun's goal since the beginning, his involvement with bts with not only ruin their reputation but will also ruin the whole group, their message and their future. it's abt time yall wake up, this man needs to get out of hybe asap!! — sar ᥫ᭡ (@ftvhope) can scooter fuck out with this whole jungkook going solo agenda, it's disgusting, specially this being with a member that will tell you in a heartbeat how much he loves his group — olie 🍉🐳 (@doodleggukmin) I will say this one time, & one time only.

I trust jungkook 100%, I don’t trust scooter at all, and the’re both mutually exclusive feelings. — kina7 🍉 (@tannieswithfun7) all scooter braun wants is what he had with justin bieber and ariana grande and he’s gonna do everything in his power to achieve that with jungkook and jungkook only. he doesn’t give a fuck about the group.
