Bridgerland Technical College Fashion Merchandising and Development program’s Fall Fashion Show, ’Til Death Do Us Part, drew a crowd to the Cache County Event Center Wednesday. Fall fashion trends were modeled with clothing and accessories from local retailers. The show also included three handmade collections designed and constructed by BTECH students Mary Winder, Joel Rengifo and Rachel Magnusson The local retailers included Al’s Sporting Goods, Bohme, Buckle, Directive, Old Navy, Petals & Promises Prom, The Kater Shop and The Sportsman.
High school and adult students enrolled in the program coordinated the theme, clothing, choreography, music, advertising and all other aspects of the show. Students conducted fashion trend research as part of the show preparation, putting together outfits. The program held auditions to select models.
Prior to the show, local vendors sold their wares amid spooky, vintage themed decor. Two of those vendors were Fashion Merchandising and Development program graduates who have jobs in the industry while building their own businesses on the side. Lisa Tran graduated from the program in 2022 and now works at VanneBjorn Creative in Logan, a soft goods design, development and manufacturing company.
She is also building her own business, lovelisew , selling handmade bags. Tran said she doesn’t really associate Logan with fashion, but she thinks the fashion industry in the valley is growing. The program holds a spring and a fall fashion show .
