Ante Brzovic scored a game-high 21 points and Deywilk Tavarez added 17 points to lead four players in double figures as College of Charleston defeated in-state rival Wofford 77-67 before a sold-out crowd at TD Arena on Dec. 16. It was the fourth straight win for the Cougars, who improved to 8-2 overall.

Wofford dropped to 4-7. The Cougars used a 21-0 run to open the second half to break open a game that had been tied at halftime. The Terriers went nearly eight minutes without a field goal to start the second half.

Deywilk Taverez scored the first eight points of the game for the Cougars, including a pair of 3s. The Cougars were able to build a double-digit lead, AJ Smith’s layup giving Charleston a 29-17 advantage with 7:45 to play in the opening half. The Terriers used a 16-1 run over the next six minutes to grab 34-31 lead on Kyler Filewich’s putback with 25.
