Monday, January 20, 2025 Brussels Airlines recently announced its collaboration with airBaltic to deploy Airbus A220-300 aircraft for select routes during the Northern Summer 2025 season. Spanning March 30 to October 25, 2025, this operational agreement will see airBaltic’s A220 jets servicing several key European destinations. The move highlights Brussels Airlines’ strategic approach to meeting increasing travel demand during the summer while leveraging the fuel-efficient and passenger-friendly A220 model.

This temporary fleet enhancement reflects the airline’s commitment to maintaining seamless service across its European network, ensuring operational reliability and expanded connectivity. Under the agreement, airBaltic will provide its state-of-the-art Airbus A220-300 aircraft to operate routes from Brussels to various cities across Europe. Known for its fuel efficiency, lower noise levels, and spacious interiors, the A220 offers a modern travel experience suited to short and medium-haul flights.



By leveraging airBaltic’s expertise with the aircraft, Brussels Airlines aims to ensure consistent performance during peak summer months. The leased A220-300 aircraft will be utilized for flights from Brussels to a total of 20 destinations, including popular cities such as Barcelona, Zurich, and Milan, along with key regional hubs like Birmingham, Vilnius, and Ljubljana.
