Bravo stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are officially calling it quits. Cartwright filed for divorce from Taylor in Los Angeles on Aug. 27, according to documents obtained by TODAY.

In February, Cartwright , “When Reality Hits with Jax & Brittany,” that she and Taylor were separating. “Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she explained towards the end of the podcast episode, which featured Cartwright and Michelle Lally.

“I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about. “And I’m taking things one day at a time. I don’t know what the future holds.

But right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz,” Cartwright said of her 3-year-old son, whom she shares with Taylor. “I love you guys. Pray for us, and everything will be just fine.

We’re good.” Cartwright is seeking joint legal and physical custody of Cruz in her divorce petition. Taylor and Cartwright's relationship has been well documented in several Bravo reality shows over the years.

The two appeared in "Vanderpump Rules," then their spinoff "Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky" and, most recently, The two started dating in 2015 and tied the knot in June 2019 at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky. It is unclear what the future of their shared bar, Jax's Studio City, will be. The cast was spotted by TODAY.

com filming an episode on Aug. 21 with the entire bar temporarily rebranded as "Britt's." Cartwright in March, saying she was "doing OK" in the wake of the separation.

"It’s definitely been crazy — the media being so heavily involved in my relationship. I get it because we do put so much of our lives out there, which is why I had to talk about it in the first place, because the Instagram sleuths were figuring out that I was staying at a different house," she said at the time. "I didn’t really plan on publicly coming out and saying something like that, but there were so many rumors swirling around that I felt like I had to," she added.

The first season of "The Valley" is available to watch on Peacock and the second season is currently in production. It's expected to be released sometime in 2025, "The Valley" film crews at Jax's told TODAY.com.
