Tian Pengfei could only watch on in agony as he sunk the white ball with his final shot to hand the Chinese star's British Open tie to Luca Brecel. Having battled to stay in the contest, Tian was one potted black away from levelling the game at 3-3 and forcing a deciding frame. Instead, the former Welsh Open semi-finalist was denied a famous victory after the white ball, which had successfully potted the black, cannoned off the top cushion before dropping into the pocket at the opposite end of the table.
