JERSEY is about to become a whole lot more accessible with new flights and a huge revamp. The Channel Island already offers flights to lots of European destinations from Faro to Munich, but they want to encourage more. Over the next two years, Jersey Airport will undergo a £2million revamp in the hope more airlines will choose to provide routes to the island.

It's come after the news in December 2024 where a Channel Islands airline announced they would introduce direct flights to Newcastle . Taking off for the first time on May 3, 2025 the flights will run throughout the summer season. Blue Islands airline recently announced that on Saturdays in August and September, Jersey passengers can fly directly to Bilbao , Spain and Verona , in Italy 2025.



More on the Channel Islands Currently, Jersey offers direct flights to lots of UK destinations, from Manchester to Norwich, Glasgow, Belfast and London Gatwick. As for the rest of Europe , you can jump on a plane from Jersey directly to Dublin , Düsseldorf, Faro, Funchal, Ibiza and Lanzarote. They also offer trips to Majorca, Malaga, Zadar, Tenerife and Zurich.

But there's one neighbouring city that's missing. Most read in City breaks Jersey currently offers no direct flights to Paris , unlike Guernsey . Guernsey opened the new flight path to Paris in January 2024.

They reach the French capital in 70 minutes and it's been a very popular flight. While there's hope the revamp will bring in more tourism, and will encourage locals to .
