Saturday, August 24, 2024 Bristol Airport is now home to an expanded Hampton by Hilton, featuring 50 newly added bedrooms to cater to the increasing demand for accommodation near the airport. This strategic expansion offers travelers more choices and enhanced comfort, ensuring a pleasant stay. The new rooms were constructed using prefabricated shipping containers, an innovative approach brought to life by DMD Modular, a company based in Poland.

These containers were transformed into stylish hotel rooms in a matter of months. They arrived at Bristol Airport fully pre-assembled, complete with wardrobes, cupboards, desks, and bathrooms, streamlining the installation process. Designed with modern aesthetics in mind, these rooms are equipped with luxury features, including SMEG kettles and fridges, as well as 55-inch televisions for guests’ entertainment.

Forty-eight of the 50 new rooms offer super king beds, a new room type for the hotel, providing guests with even more comfort and space. This expansion not only adds to the hotel’s capacity but also showcases a forward-thinking approach to design and construction, enhancing the overall guest experience at Bristol Airport. Andrew Peacock, General Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to add 50 stylish bedrooms that showcase our new design.

This additional part of the hotel offers Super King Flex rooms with the option of a king size bed, ideal for those who want to treat themselves to a bigger bed, or two single beds which are perfect for friends who want to share a room. With the expansion of Bristol Airport, we’re seeing a growing demand for rooms, and this summer looks set to be our busiest period yet. Now even more people travelling can benefit from starting their holiday with a little bit of luxury or enjoy relaxing here before heading home.

” Rupert Lawrie, Commercial Director, Bristol Airport, added: “Having recently celebrated 10 million customers travelling through the terminal in a consecutive twelve-month period, it is great news that the Hampton by Hilton is able to accommodate even more Bristol Airport customers, offering the added convenience and comfort of being the only hotel based the Airport.” Hampton by Hilton, conveniently situated next to the airport terminal, was constructed using an innovative modular building technique. This method, designed and executed by CIMC Modular Building Systems, involved assembling segments of the hotel in a factory in China before shipping them to the site.

The hotel first welcomed guests in February 2017 and now boasts 251 bedrooms. It also features two meeting rooms, a gym, a lounge area, and a range of food and drink facilities, making it a comprehensive option for both travelers and business guests..
