The Brice Fabing Memorial Bikes 4 Kids Christmas bike drive brought smiles to the faces of 115 children who each rode away on a new set of wheels after a special visit with Santa. The 18th annual event commemorated the passing of Brice Fabing, a Lompoc High School student and athlete who in 2005 at age 17 was killed in a vehicle crash. Since 2006, the Fabing family in December organizes the donation and distribution of new bikes and helmets to underprivileged children with support from the Lompoc community.

In a statement of gratitude, the Fabing Family thanked the many who participated in this year's drive. "We are happy to say that it was a huge success this year and we were extremely touched to have been able to collect over 115 bikes! We are extremely proud that we were able to give back to our community in a small but rewarding way, [remembering] Brice on this 19th year anniversary of his passing. Without your continued support for the program and to Brice’s memory many kids wouldn’t have received such a special Christmas this season!"
