Brian Jordan Alvarez has been a star on the rise for the last few years and now he’s finally leading his own TV series! The 37-year-old actor is starring in the new FX show The English Teacher and the first trailer has arrived. Brian plays Evan Marquez, a high school teacher in Austin, Texas who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional and political aspects of working at a high school. Evan wants to be a principled person but often runs into trouble because of it.
Also starring in the series are Stephanie Koenig and Sean Patton , among others. You might recognize Brian from his recurring role on Will & Grace as Estefan Gloria or his appearance in the 2022 horror film M3GAN . He’s also popular for his comedy videos on social media! The English Teacher premieres on FX on September 2 and streams on Hulu.
