Friday, August 16, 2024 Breeze Airways is set to debut its inaugural routes from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) by year’s end, signaling its foray into a territory predominantly served by Avelo Airlines. Starting December 10, Breeze will introduce 10 new nonstop flights from the airport located in southern Connecticut. This expansion includes routes to sought-after Florida locales such as Fort Myers, Orlando, Vero Beach, and West Palm Beach, alongside other destinations like Charleston, Jacksonville, Norfolk, Raleigh-Durham, Richmond, and Sarasota/Bradenton.

Additionally, Breeze will offer a “thru service” to New Orleans. This strategic move positions Breeze in direct competition with Avelo, which has operated as the principal East Coast hub at HVN since its inception three years prior. According to data from OAG Schedules Analyser, Breeze will vie directly with Avelo on six out of these 10 routes.
