Wednesday, November 13, 2024 Brazil, the world’s most biodiverse country, made a grand entrance at the World Travel Market (WTM) London, bringing a delegation of 50 co-exhibitors that represented the nation’s vibrant destinations. This influential tourism event provided Brazil a unique platform to solidify its standing as a premier tourist destination and explore new business avenues. At WTM London, Brazil captivated audiences with a portfolio of experiences, from the expansive landscapes of the Brazilian Cerrado, named a top destination for 2025 by National Geographic, to the awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage site of Lençóis Maranhenses.
A key moment at WTM London featured a meeting between Bruno Reis, Embratur’s International Marketing Director, and Tatiana Turra, president of Curitiba’s Municipal Institute of Tourism, alongside Lonely Planet’s global team. During this gathering, Curitiba was celebrated as one of the world’s 10 best cities to visit in 2025, a prestigious honor from Lonely Planet’s “Best in Travel 2025.” Additionally, Wanderlust revealed the cover of its December 2024/January 2025 edition spotlighting Brazil, presenting Embratur with the first copy in a gold-foiled, sustainably crafted keepsake box by Editor-in-Chief George Kipouros.
Brazil also shone at the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards held at London’s iconic Tate Modern, where it earned Silver as the “Most Desirable Destination for Nature & Wildlife” and Bronze for Rio de J.
