The pair were two of three teens travelling in an allegedly stolen Aldi that ran a red light and crashed into a Subaru station wagon on the Princes Highway in Pakenham, just after 4pm yesterday. The luxury car then rolled several metres down the road before smashing into a nearby tree and power pole.

A second 16-year-old boy, believed to be the driver of the alleged stolen vehicle, was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.
A 15-year-old boy, seated in the rear seat of the vehicle, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
