NATIONAL CAPITAL COMMISSION Article content When it comes to the federal government’s proposed designs for replacing the Alexandra Bridge, consider me impressed by all three — but also struck by the stark contrast between these enthralling visions of our transportation future and the mess we’re mired in today.
Here’s a challenge: Between now and when the new Ottawa River crossing is built, which will be no sooner than 2032, the various governing bodies with power over Ottawa-Gatineau’s evolution — the two municipalities, the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, the NCC and other federal entities — should take every chance they get to sort out the cities’ dang.
