Pune: Over 100 passengers on board Vistara 's Singapore-Pune flight (UK110) on Sunday afternoon went through stringent checks on landing at the Lohegaon airport after the airline received a bomb threat . A source said the airline received the threat message around 10-15 minutes before the flight was set to land in Pune. Airport officials said soon after the flight landed at 2.
30pm, the aircraft was taken to an isolated bay. Then checks were conducted as per the set procedures and protocols. A Vistara spokesperson said, "We confirm receiving security threats, on social media, for six Vistara flights operating on Oct 20.
Those were UK25 (Delhi to Frankfurt), UK106 (Singapore to Mumbai), UK146 (Bali to Delhi), UK116 (Singapore to Delhi), UK110 (Singapore to Pune) and UK107 (Mumbai to Singapore). In line with the protocols, all relevant authorities were immediately notified and security procedures , as directed by them, were carried out. " Sub-inspector Sandeep Karpe of the Airport police said, "An unidentified person posted a message on a photo and video-sharing application mentioning Vistara's flight numbers. It stated, ‘as many as 12 men are on board six of your (Vistara's) planes with bombs (9 on each) and everyone on these flights would end up in graves'. He tagged the airline's Noida head office with the message.
