The and she . On the Wednesday, August 14 episode of , Hope was drinking her champagne in celebration of her mother, Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) new bedroom line that launched. There was a point where Hope bragged about Brooke and her success to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan).
Steffy kept her cool and made sure to let Hope know that all of Brooke's hard work would pay off once the revenue numbers came in. Things got rocky when , and that it was struggling and put Steffy on the spot, telling everyone that it had "Forrester's full commitment." While everyone was enjoying a live performance at the party, Steffy was interrupted with a phone call that she had to take.
Hope was having a couple of drinks and noticed that her stepbrother Finn was left alone in an area that people would not be able to see them. She walked to that area, put her drink down, cornered Finn and started to kiss him. Viewers at home quickly called Hope "pathetic" and "out of pocket" for doing something she would regret.
