The aircraft is owned and operated by Eastern Air Express. The aircraft reportedly experienced a door malfunction shortly after departing from Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport (MKE), at which point the aircraft turned around to make an emergency landing and perform the required repairs. It is reported that since the incident, the Boeing 737 has been repaired and continued its journey to Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

Mr. Vance was reportedly traveling with his wife, advisors, Secret Service agents, and journalists when this incident occurred. Trump Force Two Considering this aircraft is utilized by the Vice-Presidential candidate for the Republican Party, the Trump campaign colloquially refers to the aircraft as the Trump Force Two.

The aircraft, despite being used as a charter operation, features a bespoke livery that was created for the campaign. This livery was unveiled last month and featured the names - "TRUMP" and "VANCE" on the front of the fuselage and the Campaign's slogan: "MAKE AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN," towards the rear of the fuselage. The aircraft previously belonged to iAero Airways and was now owned by a subsidiary of Eastern Airlines.

While Eastern Air Express now operates the aircraft, it was previously operated by the now-defunct charter airline iAero, which ceased operations earlier this year. The aircraft interior is kitted with 43 seats, which allows for luxury and spacious travel, and this 757 is part of the Trump Aviation Fleet which also features other aerial modes of transport such as Sikorsky S-76 helicopters. Trump's private aircraft is a custom Boeing 757 private jet.

Though the aircraft was active before and after Trump's term as President, the aircraft was stored during his time in office, as Trump at the time had access to the United States presidential fleet, which included the world-famous pair of Boeing 747s known as Air Force One. While the name Air Force One is most commonly used to refer to the Presidential Boeing 747s, operationally speaking, the call sign "Air Force One" can be used by any US Air Force aircraft if the president is on board..
