Andy McNee, 44, vanished from Clydebank on the morning of Friday, November 8, sparking a frantic search . His van was picked up by a camera in both the town centre and Govan, when he was last seen. His worried family issued a desperate plea to the public to help trace him following his "out of character" disappearance.
Police officers today confirmed a body had been discovered in the Aberfoyle area, near Duke’s Path, at around 10.50am on Wednesday during searches for Andy. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and his heartbroken family have been informed.
His partner led tributes social media to Andy who was described by loved ones as the "life and soul of the party". Andy's partner Tammy posted a picture of the pair standing in a line holding hands with their two children in a heartbreaking tribute on her Facebook page. Alongside the picture, she wrote: "Forever and ever.
" Graeme Candlin said: "Tammy wants to thank everyone who shared the messages for Andy far and wide. The police have found him and it’s unfortunately not good news. She has asked me to put a message up and thank everyone for all their help and kind words.
"Andy was the life and soul of every single party. Bar none. So everyone is numb from the devastating news.
