BMW, the German luxury carmaker, will hike the prices of all its luxury cars in India by up to 3% next year. The price increase will come into effect starting January 1. The hike will apply to all models, including the brand's luxury cars and SUVs.

The current lineup of BMW models in India includes locally made cars such as the 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series LWB, 7 Series LWB, X1, X3, X5, X7, and M340i. These include electric models such as the i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX1, and iX. BMW also imports performance models as CKD units to India. These include the Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M5, M8 Competition Coupe, and XM Hybrid.

Recent launches from BMW in India include the M340i xDrive. The sports sedan is a segment leader in its class and retails for Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

It features a 3.0-litre straight-six engine under its hood, which produces 374 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The M340i can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.
