In the halls of Surrey’s Wentworth Club, there is a wall dedicated to history . Since the course first hosted the World Match Play Championship in 1964, winners of professional events played there have donated a club from their winning tournament to be enshrined in its Hall of Fame. Ryan Fox ‘s sand wedge now hangs among them.

“Cambo [Michael Campbell] has a club up there from the World Match Play in 2005 as well. So, it was cool to have another bit of Kiwi history up on that wall today.” It was the club Fox used to hit a beautiful approach shot and set up a tournament-winning par on 18 in last year’s BMW PGA Championship, completing a successful final-round charge after trailing by two shots before teeing off.
