Chennai: A video journalist was killed after the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by a speeding BMW luxury car on the Maduravoyal-Tambaram bypass in Chennai. The incident occurred on Tuesday (November 19). Following the incident, he was thrown 100 meters from the scene and fell into a bush, where he died on the spot.
Later, the driver abandoned the car and escaped from the scene. According to an India Today report, the deceased, identified as Pradeep Kumar from Pondy Bazaar, was a senior cameraperson with a popular Telugu news channel and worked as a part-time Rapido rider in Chennai. When the police were informed about the incident, they recovered Pradeep Kumar's body after an hour-long search, 100 meters away from the accident site.
