Blue Bloods will sadly be coming to an end after its 14th season later this year, leaving millions of fans distraught over its cancellation. Tom Selleck will soon host his final family dinner as Frank Reagan now the second half of season 14 is continuing each Friday. Despite being one of the CBS network’s most popular shows for over a decade, there has never been a successful attempt to spin off the show away from the Reagans.

Actress Abigail Hawk, who portrays Frank’s loyal aid Detective Abigail Baker in the series, recently spoke exclusively to Screen Time about the show’s possible future. “I think it’s possible,” she said when probed about a potential offshoot. “The human mind, as far as creativity goes, knows no bounds.



That’s what makes our industry so interesting, we’re boundless when it comes to what we can think of. “There are definitely some specific characters we could easily see more of. “I think it’s also possible to take the idea of perhaps following another family somewhere else.

” However, she maintained there was also one key thing that any Blue Bloods spin-off should avoid doing. “I do not think, if you do that, it could happen in New York,” Hawk explained. “I think that’s impossible because the potential overlaps with the Reagans would be very obvious.
