Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart have clocked in record-breaking sales on Rakshabandhan . Both companies have surpassed their sales figures from 2023 as demand for online grocery and gift deliveries surged during the festive occasion. Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa took to X to announce the platform's achievements.

"We'll cross all-time high orders in a day on Blinkit in a couple of minutes," Dhindsa shared. He also mentioned that the company hit its highest-ever OPM (Orders per minute), GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), and chocolate sales. The peak of the day saw Blinkit selling 693 Rakhis per minute.

This move enabled customers abroad to send Rakhis and other festive items to their loved ones in India, further boosting the company’s sales. Swiggy Instamart also saw a significant surge in orders. Co-founder Phani Kishan shared his excitement on X, noting that Rakshabandhan celebrations were driving higher orders per minute than their previous peak day.
