The 3rd edition of the 2024 Blankets & Wine festival was all the rave on Sunday, October 6, at Laureate Garden – Kasarani International Stadium. Click here to connect with us on WhatsApp Since the announcement of the lineup back in July, Sunday’s edition promised to leave a lasting impression from the onset. As is characteristic, the event consisted of two stages: The Onja Onja Stage and Blankets (Main) Stage.

The former is mostly designated for Nairobi’s popular alternative jockeys while the latter is a reserve for the main performers of the day. All the artistes on the roster put their best foot forward and put on electric performances, devoid of any sound defects or mishaps, something that perhaps would not be said about some recent Kenyan events. Wanjine’s soulful Kikuyu ballads kickstarted the afternoon and set the tone for the day.



Revered for his silky voice and shrewd live performance abilities, the crooner on-stage presence could not be overstated. A mini Camp Mulla reunion ensued during Karun’s set when she brought out former groupmate Shappa Man, that saw fans of the former hitmaking group go on a trip down memory lane. The duo performed a two-song medley of two of Camp Mulla’s hits, ‘Addicted’ and ‘Fresh All Day’.

Ex-Le Band member and now solo singer Charisma was another of the night’s favorites. If it was not his futuristic on-stage consume, it was his energy and connection with the crowd as he belted out his numbers, while flaunting his ab.
