Blake Lively gave her approval for the final cut of “It Ends With Us” following reported disagreements with the director and co-star, Justin Baldoni, according to Page Six. The actress contributed to shaping the version of the movie that audiences see in theaters, believing it was crucial to incorporate more “feminine” elements into the final product, according to multiple sources. The film grossed $50 million in its debut weekend.

Lively,36, served as a producer for the project adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel. A studio insider revealed to Page Six: “There were two edits and the studio went with a more feminine edit.” Sources familiar with the production situation have denied this, with another studio source stating, “As a producer, Blake was given the opportunity to provide edits and feedback to the film.

It’s completely normal for there to be multiple edits of a film. “Sony went with the cut they deemed to be the best, and that was a cut that included Blake’s edits, and all parties were on board.” Recent revelations have surfaced that Blake felt “uncomfortable” around Baldoni, particularly regarding her postpartum body after the birth of her fourth child, Olin, just before filming for the movie began.

The duo did not promote the film together and even avoided posing together at the premiere in New York last week. Reports indicate they were seated in separate theatres during the event. Baldoni, 40, confessed there were troubles on set, telling Elle UK, “There are all these things that happen every day on set, there’s always friction that happens when you make a movie like this.

“Then at the end of the day, it’s that friction, I believe, that creates the beautiful art. Everything in life needs friction to grow.” Lively has discussed her contributions to nearly every facet of “It Ends With Us,” from adding her touches on the music and costumes to the dialogue and beyond.

She even stated that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, penned one of the movie’s most important scenes. “The iconic rooftop scene, my husband actually wrote it,” she told E! News. Lively confessed in a recent interview with UK’s Hits Radio, that ““they begged me” to take out Lana Del Rey’s song from the film, stating, “I’m not supposed to be talking about this, but .

..” Baldoni acquired the rights to the book through his production company, Wayfarer, in 2019.

The agreement also reportedly include the rights to Hoover’s sequel, The film has been successful at the box office. Nonetheless, when inquired about the possibility of directing a sequel, Baldoni expressed to Entertainment Tonight, “I think there are better people for that one. I think Blake Lively is ready to direct.

That’s what I think.”.
