Blake Lively and her It Ends with Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni were seen in a heated discussion while filming the romantic movie in New Jersey last year. The Gossip Girl alum, 36, and the Jane The Virgin star, 40, appeared to be at odds in a clip filmed back on May 17, 2023, from the inside of a Hoboken, New Jersey restaurant looking out , as per TMZ . The two co-stars appeared to be arguing amid their discussion, as in the clip, Blake could be seen moving her hands and veering away from Jason, who was also seen waving his hands about.

However, it has now become apparent that this so-called altercation wasn't what it initially appeared to be. A source, who was on the It Ends With Us set, told TMZ: "Blake and Justin were not upset with each other, and there's no drama that day. They went on to explain that the pair "were in between takes, and simply talking".

At the end of the clip, which has now fuelled the rift rumors, they're still seen standing near each other, "so it's not like anyone stormed off," the insider added. Another witness, who was not involved with the production, claimed that Blake "rarely looked thrilled" while shooting scenes for the film. Speculation began swilling about the pair's feud after Justin passed on taking group pics with Blake and other cast members earlier this month during the premiere in New York City. He’s since been flying solo on the promo circuit, even hinting at dealing with "complex personalities." The actor has also presided over an "extremely difficult" environment for cast and crew, according to Page Six.

Multiple sources told the publication that Blake was personally "uncomfortable" while filming the movie and "none of the cast enjoyed working with Justin - they certainly didn't talk to him at the premiere". It Ends With Us is available to watch in cinemas now..
