BLACKPINK ’s Rosé set multiple records on the Billboard charts this week! Two weeks ago, Rosé became the first female K-pop soloist in history to enter the top three of the Billboard 200 when her solo album “rosie” debuted at No. 3. For the week ending on January 4, “rosie” stayed strong at No.
32 in its third consecutive week on the chart. With this achievement, “rosie” has become the first album by a female K-pop soloist ever to spend three weeks in the top 50 of the Billboard 200. Rosé is also only the second female K-pop soloist ever to chart an album for three weeks on the Billboard 200 at all, following TWICE ’s Nayeon .
Meanwhile, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ hit single “ APT. ” continued its impressive streak on Billboard’s Hot 100, where it spent its 10th consecutive week on the chart at No. 34.
“APT.” also rose to new peaks on both Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart (which measures plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States) and Radio Songs chart (which measures U.S.
radio plays across all musical genres). The song climbed to No. 7 in its 10th week on the Pop Airplay chart and No.
10 in its sixth week on the Radio Songs chart. As a result, Rosé is now the first female K-pop artist (including groups) ever to enter the top 10 of the Radio Songs chart. Additionally, “APT.
” remained No. 4 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart and came in at No. 47 on the Streaming Songs chart in its 10th week on both charts.
