Black Myth: Wukong has side quests for you to tackle in each region. One of these has you helping a treasure seeker who's suffering from a curse, though this fella does have ulterior motives as well.

Here's our guide on how to complete the Man-in-Stone quest in Black Myth: Wukong. Black Myth: Wukong Man-in-Stone quest guide (Chapter 2) The Black Myth: Wukong Man-in-Stone quest takes place in the Yellow Wind Ridge in Chapter 2. Here's how you can reach this unfortunate fella: From Sandgate Village, go through the gate at the open area to your right.

This is where you'll do battle against the King of Flowing Sands and Second Rat Prince. Cross the rickety bridge to the opposite canyon, and keep going straight ahead until you see the Squall Hideout shrine. While facing the shrine, look to your right to spot a sloping path down a ravine.

The Man-in-Stone is at the end of this short pathway. When you talk to the Man-in-Stone in Black Myth: Wukong, he'll mention a curse that has afflicted creatures in the region, especially the rocks that have somehow become sentient. He claims that there's an item inside the nearby large cave that might break the curse.

Now, your goal is to go straight from the Squall Hideout shrine until you reach the opposite end of the cave. It's also where you'll find the Rockcrest Flat fast travel point. If you look behind you and to the left, you'll see a tunnel that leads deeper into the caverns.

At the end of this tunnel, you'll stumble upon a "rock formation" with several bluish crystals. Strike it once with your weapon, and it'll reveal itself as the Mother of Stones. This boss is relatively easy to take out since it's stationary.

For the most part, you just need to watch out for other humanoid rocks that spawn at certain HP intervals. Defeating the Mother of Stones nets you the Stone Essence quest item. Return to the Man-in-Stone and hand it over.

This will cause him to become aggressive, and he'll actually have the gall to attack you. We're not actually sure what happened here, but we hit him a couple of times and we noticed that his HP was almost depleted. Needless to say, this fight is going to be a breeze.

After beating down the Man-in-Stone, you'll receive the Rock Guai: Azure Dust spells. It's actually one of the transformation abilities in the game. When activated, it turns you into a Rock Guai that's immune to all negative status effects, and you can ram into enemies to deal damage.

The Man-in-Stone will also start selling some notable items (limited to only one in quantity): Blood of the Iron Bull - A spirit form upgrade material; costs 3,280 will. Gold Ridge Beast - A high-value item; costs 12,800 will. Iron Pellet - One of many drinks and soaks that modify the effects of your gourd/flask; costs 6,480 will.

Goldflora Hairpin - A curio/accessory that increases the will you gain from defeating foes; costs 12,800 will. Sobering Stone - An important quest item; costs 6,480 will. Now that you're done with the Black Myth: Wukong Man-in-Stone quest, we advise you to amass enough will to purchase the Sobering Stone.

That's because this item is a requirement to unlock the Chapter 2 secret area . Black Myth: Wukong takes you to realms filled with mysterious beings and numerous challenges. For more tips and tactics, you can visit our Black Myth: Wukong guides hub .
