Friday, August 30, 2024 Bintan Resorts and VFS Global team up to attract Indian tourists, promoting Bintan Island as a dual-destination with Singapore, highlighting its diverse offerings and attractions. In a strategic move to attract Indian tourists, Bintan Resorts in Indonesia has partnered with VFS Global, the world leader in outsourcing and technology services, to promote Bintan Island as a premier travel destination. The partnership, announced on August 29 at the Grand Lagoi Hotel in Bintan Resorts, aims to elevate the island’s appeal by showcasing its diverse offerings and making it a must-visit spot for Indian travelers.

This collaboration will leverage VFS Global’s extensive network across India to highlight Bintan Island’s unique attractions, from culinary delights to top-tier services and hospitality. The marketing initiative will focus on major Indian cities, positioning Bintan as a complementary destination to Singapore within a dual-destination strategy. With Bintan Island only a convenient 60-minute ferry ride from Singapore, Indian tourists will be encouraged to explore both destinations, enjoying the best of both worlds.

The campaign will utilize digital and social media platforms, partnering with influencers and content creators to highlight Bintan’s family-friendly vacations, adventure activities, gourmet experiences, and its suitability for hosting special events such as weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). Additionally, the partnership will organize workshops and familiarization trips for travel trade partners, influencers, and media to showcase the island’s offerings. These efforts aim to reintroduce Bintan Island to the Indian market, highlighting the ease of combining a Singapore visit with a Bintan getaway.

The agreement signing event was attended by prominent figures, including Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy Minister for Marketing at Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy; Guntur Sakti, Head of Tourism Office of the Riau Islands Province; Robby Kurniawan, Head of Bintan Regency; and Arief Sumarsono, Head of Tourism Office Bintan Regency, alongside other stakeholders from the travel and tourism industries and the media. This collaboration between Bintan Resorts and VFS Global marks a significant milestone in enhancing Bintan Island’s appeal to the Indian market, promising a mix of leisure, adventure, and cultural experiences that will captivate Indian travelers..
