NEW DELHI: With the BJP poised for a comfortable win, leading in 50 out of 90 assembly seats, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal addressed AAP municipal councillors on Tuesday, urging caution and diligence in political contests. He said that the "biggest lesson" of the poll results is that one should never be "overconfident" in the elections. "Let us see what the results are in Haryana.

The biggest lesson of this is that one should never be overconfident in elections," Kejriwal said, highlighting the unpredictability of electoral outcomes. He stressed the importance of treating every election with seriousness, noting that "no election should be taken lightly" and that each seat presents its own challenges. The AAP's strategy in Haryana has come under scrutiny as well.

The party's attempt to form a pre-poll alliance with the Congress fell through due to disagreements over seat-sharing arrangements, resulting in AAP contesting 89 of the total 90 seats independently. This decision has proven detrimental, with AAP candidates trailing behind their BJP and Congress counterparts across nearly all constituencies.
