The much-awaited Bigg Boss 18 has officially opened its doors, with the grand premiere lighting up screens on Sunday night. Host Salman Khan, as always, brought his signature swagger, kickstarting this season with a lineup that promises drama, entertainment, and ofcourse, controversy. Among the most surprising contestants this season is actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who enters the house with a mix of excitement and personal ambition.

For the uninitiated, Shilpa is not just another Bollywood face — she’s the elder sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar and the sister-in-law of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. But despite her illustrious connections, Shilpa’s journey back into the limelight hasn’t been easy. In an unfiltered and candid conversation, she opened up about her struggles to find work in the industry and how Bigg Boss came as a last resort.

A post shared by Shilpa Shirodkar Ranjit (@shilpashirodkar73) Speaking to Indianexpress before entering the house, Shilpa revealed her longtime love for the show. “Honestly, I am a huge fan of Bigg Boss,” she said. “Every time I watched the show, my daughter used to say that I should go on it.

The family is very happy that I am going inside the house. I was looking for work, my daughter is now 20, and my husband travels a lot for his work, so I wanted to come back to do something for myself.” The former Bollywood actress, who starred in films like Khuda Gawah and Hum, admitted that finding work has been an uphill battle.
